Regular Season Round 9: Buducnost - Spartak 75-78

The most exciting game of round 9 in the ABA League took place in Podgorica. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best MontenegrinBuducnost (7-2) to fifth ranked Serbian Spartak (6-3) 78-75 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Buducnost. Spartak made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Rasir Bolton (190-1999, college: Gonzaga, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 20 points. His fellow American import guard Umoja Gibson (185-1998, college: DePaul) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Spartak players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian center Kenan Kamenjas (207-2000) who recorded 9 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard McKinley Wright IV (182-1998, college: Colorado) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Spartak have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-3 record. Defending Montenegrin champion Buducnost keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Crvena zvezda and Dubai.
